About

Welcome to TastyPinny! This blog is inspired by my love for food and enthusiasm for cooking. Growing up, I aspired to become a great chef like both my parents who have always been very creative with food. My mom has a knack for transforming simple ingredients in to tasty flavorful delicacies. She has always been passionate about cooking and learning new techniques. Whereas my dad, is meticulous about his recipes and crafts his food with the utmost passion. My dad mostly entered the kitchen on the weekends to experiment with new dishes and always treated us with lavish meals. Everyone in the family knew if my dad was cooking, then lunch would typically be served closer to dinner time. But, none of us were bothered by the long wait, as we knew it would all be worth it in the end! If however, things didn’t turn out as planned, we always had our mom to the rescue who could whip up something delicious in a jiffy!! Luckily, I grew up in a family that always encouraged me to try and experiment with different foods. Every time we went out to restaurants and liked something we ordered, my dad and I would try to figure out the ingredients and replicate the recipe at home. It turned out to be a great weekend activity for us.

Now, I have decided to embark on this new journey of food and flavors through this blog. The name for this blog was influenced by my niece and nephew who call me “Pinny”  which means aunt in Telugu.Through this blog, I hope to share my experiences and adventures with food. Please feel free to leave comments and share your recipes.
